Fight for Fair Compensation: A Letter from Mr. D. W. Folsom, 1949-02-11

 Item — Box: DP 6, Folder: 56
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_6_56_0004
Mr. Folsom wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert expressing his concern about the government only intending to pay the Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians in piecemeal payments for the sale of their lands. He urges Congressman Albert to push for the full amount of $8,500,000 to be paid in full, as many members of the tribes, including his parents, have died waiting for the settlement. Congressman Albert assures Mr. Folsom that he will do everything he can to get the matter settled this year.
