Mr. Heavener wrote to Representative Carl Albert inquiring about when the Choctaw Tribe would receive payment for their sold lands. Representative Albert responded that the full amount had been included in an appropriation bill and was expected to receive favorable action in Congress. He assured Mr. Heavener that he would do everything to settle the matter as soon as possible.
