Mr. William Lewis inquires about payment for the sale of coal lands by the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes to the government. Congressman Carl Albert responds, stating that the payment is included in a bill but is currently held up in the Appropriations Committee. He assures Mr. Lewis that he will work to settle the matter as soon as possible and advises him to contact the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency for information on proving heirship for the payments.
