Mrs. Lige Ford wrote to Honorable Carl Albert, M. C. seeking information on purchasing 5 acres of Indian lease land where her home is located. The land is part of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations and cannot be sold as it is under contract for sale to the United States. Honorable Carl Albert forwarded Mrs. Ford's request to Mr. W. O. Roberts, Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency for further information on the procedure to purchase the land. Mrs. Ford expressed her desire to buy the land in order to keep her home on it.
