The city of Tulsa must print the notice and ballot title for an upcoming street bond election in both Cherokee and English languages due to new statutes requiring bilingual opportunities for minority populations, including Native Americans in Osage and Creek counties. The city will contract with a bilingual institute in Tahlequah to translate the materials into Cherokee.
