Cherokee Chief Ross Swimmer announced the signing of a $350,000 federal contract for a tribal vocational training program. The contract was settled with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Denver, and the money will be used for training in tourism and building trades. Richard Vance McSpadden Sr. has been appointed as the executive business director for the Cherokee Nation.
