Mr. Ashford wrote to Mr. Albert expressing his interest in the sale of coal lands to the government. Mr. Albert informed him that proof of heirship notices will be sent by the Indian Office to determine legal heirs and payments will be made to living enrolled members first. Mr. Ashford also inquired about Indian payments and potential oil royalties, stating that he never signed anything regarding his property. He requested a blank form for his payment consent check.
