Mrs. Williams wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert regarding payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaw for the sale of their lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded that the Indian Office plans to pay living enrolled members first in July, and that he will try to help Mrs. Williams' friend Joe C. Jordan with his application for a post office clerk position in Durant.
