Mrs. Lou Hamlet has written to Congressman Carl Albert regarding the payment to members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations for the sale of their lands to the government. The Indian Office will be sending out checks to enrolled members, with living members being paid first. It is important for Mrs. Hamlet to notify the Superintendent of any change of address to avoid delays in receiving her payment. Congressman Albert informs Mrs. Hamlet of the progress made in Congress and the efforts to expedite the payment process.
