The letter is from Carl Albert, a member of Congress, to Shelby Perkins regarding the payment to the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes for their coal lands. Albert explains that regulations are being written up to provide payment to living enrolled members first, and checks are expected to be sent out by the end of July. Perkins is advised to be patient and informed that the process is being expedited. Albert expresses his willingness to help further if needed.
