The letter from Carl Albert, M.C. to Mr. William H. Marshall, Jr. informs Marshall that Congress has passed a bill to pay the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands. Albert assures Marshall that the payment will be made soon and expresses gratitude for Marshall's offer of assistance. Marshall had previously written to Albert requesting his help in obtaining the payment, expressing frustration with the Republican party for not appropriating the funds.
