Item — Box: 41, Folder: 6
Identifier: CAC_CC_002_9_41_6_0012
The Mayor of Denton, Jack Miller, thanks Representative Richard K. Armey for meeting with the Denton delegation during a recent trip to Washington. He expresses concerns about Representative Cox's bill, HR 1054, which would impose a moratorium on state and local taxation of goods and services bought and sold over the Internet. Miller believes this bill would harm local governments, small businesses, and urban revitalization efforts. He urges Representative Armey to consider these issues and thanks him for his support.
