The Creek Indians of Eastern Oklahoma are unhappy with the recent election of a tribal leader forced upon them by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. They feel cheated and manipulated, as the election process was flawed and many eligible voters were not able to participate. The chosen leader does not understand the language and is seen as easily manipulated. There are allegations of intimidation and irregularities in the election process. The Creek Indians feel powerless and unheard in the face of corruption and injustice.
