Item — Box: 30, Folder: 28
Identifier: CAC_CC_003_2_30_28_0040
Senator Bartlett received a petition from Mrs. Sands regarding bills he introduced concerning funds awarded to the Creek Indians. He had previously introduced the legislation at the request of the Creek Tribal Governing Body, but the petition indicates not all tribal members agree with the plan for distribution of the funds. Bartlett is forwarding the petition to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for consideration and will be kept advised of any actions taken. He thanks Mrs. Sands for writing to him.
