A 6-month-old baby narrowly escaped harm when the ceiling of his home in Oklahoma city Limes fell in, possibly due to sonic booms. The parents blame the incident on the booms and had previously reported ceiling cracks to FAA inspectors. The damage was minimal, with only a broken wall plaque and damaged furniture. Firefighters responded to smoking insulation in the floor furnace, but no fire occurred. The neighbors helped clean up the debris and insulation from the fallen ceiling. Mrs. Thomas believes the sonic boom caused the ceiling to collapse, as it fell from the same spot that had cracked earlier.
