Miss Blanche M. Cook wrote a letter to Senator Schulte expressing her concerns about the sonic boom studies being conducted by the Federal Aviation Agency in Oklahoma City. She questioned why the tests were being done over a civilian area and requested that action be taken to address the disturbances caused by the sonic booms. Senator Schulte acknowledged her comments and assured her that the officials responsible for the project would be informed. He also mentioned that the testing was supported by civic leaders in Oklahoma City and would benefit the development of aviation industries. Senator Schulte enclosed a pamphlet from the FAA regarding the program for Miss Cook's information.
