Proposed Expansion of Broken Bow Reservoir, 1961-01

The Broken Bow Reservoir project in southeastern Oklahoma is set to triple in size and include a hydroelectric plant. The project has received funding from Congress and is expected to take four to five years for completion. The budget also includes funds for another dam project on Little River. The state water resources board has approved the project, which will provide flood control and water resources for the area.
