The War Department informs the recipient that a report on the improvement of Red River has been made, recommending various improvements for flood control and navigation. However, only partial improvements are recommended due to cost concerns. Interested parties have the right to appeal this decision to the Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors in Washington, D.C. Additional information can be obtained from the District Engineer offices in Vicksburg, Miss., and Denison, Texas. Interested parties can review the reports in these offices but cannot publish any information until the reports are submitted to Congress.
