Mrs. Nettie Jones wrote a letter to Carl Albert; a congressman; inquiring about whether Chickasaw Freedmen would receive a per capita payment for the sale of coal and asphalt lands. Carl Albert responded by enclosing a copy of Public Law 754; which states that Freedmen are not included in the payment. He also mentioned a previous visit with Mrs. Jones and offered his assistance in the future.
