Judge George I. Sneed of Madill; Oklahoma wrote to Congressman Carl Albert on behalf of Mrs. Annie Brown; a Chickasaw Indian; who is seeking payments for her deceased mother and husband who were enrolled members. Judge Sneed expressed his support for aid to education but emphasized the need for independence of local government. Congressman Albert responded; providing information on the process for making claims for deceased Chickasaw members and expressing his agreement with Judge Sneeds views on government control.
