Mrs. Myrtle Kisten wrote to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the date of payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded; informing her that payment to enrolled members would begin in July and be mailed out by the Five Tribes Agency in Muskogee. Mrs. Kisten expressed her concern about the delay in payment and requested more information on the settlement process.
