Mrs. Evelyn Martell received a response from Congressman Carl Albert regarding her request to expedite payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal lands. The Congressman informed her that payments to living enrolled members would begin in July; after much pressure on the Indian Service to speed up the process. Congressman Albert asked Mrs. Martell to inform her neighbors about this development and offered his assistance if needed.
