Mr. James Wickson wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the payment to the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes for coal and asphalt lands sold to the government. Congressman Albert responded, informing Wickson that payment to the enrolled tribe members would begin in July and asking him to spread the word. Wickson then wrote another letter urging for the payment to be made by July.
