Mrs. Dobyns received a response from Congressman Carl Albert regarding the delayed payments to the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes for land sold to the government. Congressman Albert assured her that payments would be made in July and each enrolled member would receive around $350. He expressed frustration with the slow progress and urged Mrs. Dobyns to inform her neighbors. Mrs. Dobyns thanked him for his efforts and expressed her support for hurrying up the payments.
