Mrs. Sallie Colbert received a letter from Carl Albert, a member of Congress, thanking her for her letter regarding payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Albert assures Mrs. Colbert that the debt will be paid to living enrolled members beginning that month and expresses his happiness in being able to help in effecting a settlement. He also offers his assistance in any way needed.
