Application Process for Choctaw and Chickasaw Lands Sale, 1949-07-02

Mrs. Lizzie Whitener requested application blanks for payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Congressman Carl Albert informed her that the blanks would be provided by the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency. He also offered his assistance and suggested she contact the agency directly. Whitener then wrote to Albert requesting guidance on how to fill out the application form.
