Mr. Williams is inquiring about the payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal lands to the government. The Indian Office will be paying living enrolled members first, with proof of heirship notices to be sent out later. Mr. Williams is concerned about the delay in payments and seeks clarification on when payments will begin. He also asks for information on the amount each heir will receive.
