The Acting Secretary of the Interior informs Hon. Carl Albert that each enrollee of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations will receive a per capita payment of $350, totaling $8,500,000 from the sale of mineral deposits. Payments will be made to living enrollees first, with plans to consider inherited shares later. Superintendent Roberts will organize the distribution process, with payments to be made as soon as vouchers are processed. Special forms for identification purposes are being sent to enrollees.
