A group of small dairy farmers in Le Flore County, Oklahoma wrote to Senator Robert S. Kerr expressing concern about Secretary of Agriculture Benson's reduction of price supports for milk and butterfat from 90% to 75%. Senator Kerr responded by indicating his support for a bill that would limit downward adjustments of price supports for dairy products. He acknowledged the farmers' concerns and assured them that he was working towards a better solution.
