Holmes Baldridge was born in Oklahoma in 1902 and maintained legal residence in Oklahoma City. He received his education in Oklahoma and Nebraska, earning degrees in A.B. and L.L.B. cum laude. He was a member of several honorary societies and held bar memberships in multiple states and federal courts. Baldridge had extensive legal experience, including working as General Counsel for the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma and as Special Assistant to the Attorney General of the United States, where he supervised and participated in antitrust litigation. He also worked as a police reporter and instructor before pursuing a legal career.
