Mr. John Baldridge wrote two letters to Senator Robert S. Kerr, expressing his support and interest in meeting with him. Senator Kerr responded, thanking Baldridge for his support and explaining that Kerr-McGee Oil Industries, Inc. was not interested in a lead mine in Missouri. Kerr stated that he believed he could serve the people of Oklahoma best by staying in Congress rather than running for President. Baldridge also expressed concerns about Russia's advancements and his own financial struggles.
