Governor Floyd Maytubby of the Chickasaw Nation is informing Congressman Carl Albert about a resolution from the Choctaw-Chickasaw Confederation regarding changing the payment of coal funds and other payments to members of the two tribes. The resolution requests that all monies be paid out under Indian law and disregard the inheritance laws of Oklahoma. Governor Maytubby explains that a sales contract and mode of payment were carefully formed and approved by a majority of the tribe members. He also mentions an attached letter to Mrs. Creason regarding this matter.
