Letter regarding Reductions in Force at Indian Office in Muskogee, 1951-10-16

 Item — Box: 11, Folder: 52
Identifier: CAC_CC_001_4_11_52_0002
The letter is from Carl Albert, a congressman, to Jimmy Belvin, the Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation, regarding reductions in staff at the Indian Office in Muskogee. The Indian Bureau has stated that they cannot reinstate any of the twenty-four people who were let go, despite the negative impact on service to the Indians. Albert is hopeful that an adjustment can still be made.
