Ms. Eileen Shanahan expressed her concern for the American Indian to Senator Fred R. Harris, who forwarded her inquiry to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Bureau suggested contacting Area Offices or eleemosynary organizations for summer work opportunities to assist Indians. Senator Harris is awaiting further information from the Bureau to assist Ms. Shanahan in finding a suitable program.
