The Navajo Community College, the first college run by Indians on a reservation, is seeking federal funding to move to a new location. The college offers courses in vocational training, teaching, health care, law, Navajo culture, and English to students of all ages. Despite official support and encouragement, the government has not provided the necessary funds for the move, causing doubts among the Navajo community. The success of the college has been nationally recognized, but financial support is needed to continue providing education to Navajo students.
