The text is a series of correspondence between Mr. Bentley Beams, a student who was denied acceptance in the Special Scholarship Program in Law for American Indians at the University of New Mexico, and various officials, including Honorable Fred R. Harris. Senator Harris has expressed concern and is seeking assistance for Mr. Beams. The University of New Mexico School of Law has informed Miss Amelia A. Coleman that she was not accepted into the program due to limited spots available. Miss Coleman has an impressive educational background and career goals of becoming an attorney at law. Senator Harris is working to assist Mr. Beams and Miss Coleman in finding alternative options for their education.
