Issues of Representation in Special Services: A Call for Equity and Inclusion, 1971-09-07

 File — Box: 235, Folder: 14
Identifier: CAC_CC_026_1_235_14_010
The Director of Special Services for Indian Students at Utah State University is concerned about the lack of representation for Indian students in the Special Services program. Despite efforts to form an Advisory Board with diverse representation, Indian voices have been marginalized. The Indian Project Directors boycotted a meeting in Denver and formed a National Association to advocate for their students. They are seeking equitable representation and support from Washington. Senator Fred Harris is being urged to help address these concerns.
