Mr. Wilbur C. Jones, Education Director at Panhandle State College, requested information on job opportunities in Indian education from Senator Fred R. Harris. Senator Harris contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs on Mr. Jones' behalf, and they provided information on teaching positions, requirements, and opportunities for practice teaching in Indian schools. The Bureau also sent brochures and fact sheets to assist Mr. Jones and his students.
