Fred R. Harris expresses support for the Chicano Indian Study Center of Oregon and hopes for sufficient funding. He acknowledges the long list of names provided by Mr. Melendy but states that he may not have time to contact all of them. Harris plans to contact the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare to express interest in the project and will provide updates on any progress.
