Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Mr. Robert L. Martin, president of the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, requesting assistance in securing a grant for a program focused on the education of American Indians. Senator Harris has contacted the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare to inquire about the status of the application and has expressed his support for the program. He will follow up with Mr. Martin once he receives a response from HEW.
