Bilingual Education Funding Options for Indian Students in Tulsa Public Schools, 1971-01 - 1971-12-31

The Bureau of Indian Affairs responded to a letter regarding a possible bilingual program for Indian students in Tulsa public schools. They stated that they do not fund special programs within public school systems, but suggested contacting the United States Office of Education for funding options under Titles I, III, and VII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. They also forwarded the letter to the Title VII official for bilingual education for further assistance. The Bureau commended the efforts to provide an appropriate education program for Indian students.
