The Director of Special Education for Tulsa Public Schools is writing to Senator Fred Harris to propose a program to provide individual and small-group instruction for Indian children who are behind academically. The program would utilize resources already available in the Special Education Department and would benefit from additional funding from the Senator or other sources. The Director is seeking support and assistance from the Senator to implement this pilot program in Oklahoma.
