Senator Fred R. Harris sent a letter to Ms. Muriel Waukazoo, Mr. Lehman L. Brightman, and Mr. Carroll C. Swan enclosing a reply from the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding discrimination against Indian children in Rapid City public schools. The letter stated that efforts have been made to rectify the situation. Senator Harris offered further assistance if needed.
