Mr. Bob L. Archiquette wrote to Senator Fred Harris requesting assistance for his son, Claude, who is attending college and in need of financial aid. Senator Harris contacted the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs on Mr. Archiquette's behalf. The Bureau of Indian Affairs reevaluated Mr. Claude Archiquette's financial situation and promised to work out a solution that would be more responsive to his needs. Claude's father explained their financial difficulties and requested additional aid for his son, who is a Special Education major. They had been truthful in their requests for aid and were struggling to afford his education. They were hoping for assistance from Senator Harris in resolving the situation.
