Mrs. Agnes J. Barron wrote to Senator Fred E. Harris inquiring about educational aid for children of Indian ancestry. The Bureau of Indian Affairs responded, requesting more information to determine eligibility for aid. Senator Harris forwarded the inquiry to the Bureau and provided Mrs. Barron with information on Indian educational scholarships. Mrs. Herbert H. Bell also inquired about scholarships, and Senator Harris sent her information from the Bureau as well.
