Harris contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs to address the issue, and they assured that financial assistance would be provided for her daughter's education at Oklahoma State University. The Bureau stated that they have programs in place to support Indian students in attending college, and they are committed to helping Miss McCracken achieve her educational goals.
