The text consists of a series of correspondence between John William Tallbear and Senator Fred R. Harris regarding assistance for college education and funds owed to the Cheyenne people for land taken from them. The Bureau of Indian Affairs suggests contacting their Scholarships Officer for assistance with college funding. The Bureau also provides information on the settlement of claims for the Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. Senator Harris expresses continued interest in the educational welfare of Indian youth and provides information to Mr. Tallbear.
