 File — Box: 266, Folder: 24
Identifier: CAC_CC_026_1_266_24_002
Ms. Janet Greenawalt wrote to Senator Fred Harris expressing interest in teaching positions at an Indian school and seeking help in finding a summer job on an Indian reservation. Senator Harris contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs on her behalf, and they informed that preference is given to individuals with at least one-quarter Indian blood for summer positions. They also provided information on how Ms. Greenawalt can apply for teaching positions and other summer jobs on reservations. Senator Harris assured Ms. Greenawalt that he will be in touch with her once he receives a reply from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
