Kim Busch, a student at Howland High School in Warren, Ohio, wrote to Senator Fred R. Harris requesting information on how to send textbooks to reservations in need. Senator Harris contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs on behalf of the class, and their request was forwarded to the Education Department for further attention. Senator Harris commended the class for their interest in the American Indian people and expressed hope that they would learn about their history and culture during their course of study. Senator Harris also requested that Ms. Busch extend his greetings and best regards to her classmates.
