Senator Dewey F. Bartlett hosted a reception and luncheon in the Capitol honoring 11 young Marine sergeants who are the Marine Corps' top squad leaders for 1978. The event was attended by colleagues, Marines, and representatives of various organizations. Each sergeant received a certificate of commendation, and Senator Bartlett received a plaque from the NCOA thanking him for his support. The event was a way to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of these top Marine squad leaders.
